Internship Program Returns to CHAA

After a two-year hiatus, CHAA is resuming the Internship Program, welcoming four interns from John F. Kennedy University, Argosy University, and Western Seminary. Beginning September 1st, the selected interns will participate in a 44-week program of hands-on experience, extensive supervision, and continuing education.

Interns receive weekly individual and group supervision and will attend a weekly didactic seminar and monthly process group.  The Didactic Seminar will include guest speakers, readings and discussions on a wide range of topics, including clinical interventions, professional development, youth development, and immigration issues to name a few.

Interns at CHAA will have the opportunity to provide individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, case management, and collateral work as indicated.  These services are provided at school sites (Oakland High School and Edna Brewer Middle School), in a traditional clinical setting, and various community settings including home visits.

If you are interested in participating in next year’s internship program, contact Kenneth Kim at the Oakland CHAA office, or by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
